Hi I'm considering attending for the first time. How do things work with the themed/un-themed entires? Is there room for a small 2.1ch system driven with a DSP?

I think I'm most impressed that your poll adds up to 135%

If you have a DSP active system, then it can't be a themed entry. All of the theme entries must be passive.

We don't have very many active systems present in most cases, but usually we have room for one if the entrant sets up over lunch or a break to not take up as much time. Let's face it, active systems are not just plug and play.

Maybe it's plug and plug and play, rather than plug and play, but not more than that. What kind of [email protected] is required to be effective in the room?

If they are capable of 95dB/1m they should be okay. Target is 78-80dB at the listening distance.

Talking logistics; is anyone interested in sharing transport from Chicago or South Bend airports?

I'd really love to be there, but we've just got so many things to catch up on here there's no time to get there. Our Enthraals build will be at the GR event this year if there is one though.

Hey Chuck it might be a good idea to give a run down of the safety protocols for everyone, especially for those who may be wavering on attending.

Locally, masks are required at all businesses. Groups can meet up to 50 people. The rooms we are using are quite large so distancing is a non issue.

                          A few questions:
What input can you provide for my active system, RCA, I guess?
How much cable do I need to get from the source to the speaker stands?
What source material is used, are we expected to bring our own?

We can provide RCA or balanced outputs. You will need to have a long enough set to your amp. The front end gear consists of an Emotiva cd and stealth dac, Classe Audio preamp, and Crown amplifier.
