I have a place reserved for Apr 23,24 with rooms blocked. I am looking for feedback on the number that wish to attend at that time or if we should push it out to May. Currently, my location allows gatherings of our size. I will be sure to have masks and hand sanitizer available.

Please respond also with additional ideas, concerns, etc. The hotel is located in Laporte, IN. Easy access to the 80/90 toll road, I94. The rooms will be $90/night.

I am going to run the pole through the end of Jan.

I know I said I was taking the year off, but for the most part, theme, music, and door prizes are accounted for because of not having it last year. So- I'll be taking a back seat to most of the planning/running, but most of the work is already done.

The numbers at that time will be the deciding factor for me. Active cases and deaths from Covid have never been higher than they are right now. At some point, the number of people who have taken the vaccine and the warmer weather should bring that down. If it gets low enough by InDIYana, I'm in. So with that in mind, the later it is in the year the better the odds of low numbers.

April, May, or June will work for me, so I voted for all 3. I plan to attend with one theme pair and possibly (50-50) one non-theme pair. Hopefully the situation will improve by the time this event rolls around.

I would try to attend if the Covid situation permits. Realistically, this probably means the later the better.

Bump. I will be making the decision tomorrow. As of now, I think we should "split the difference" and move the event to May. I will have to check that there is an opening then at the venue.

Hey Everyone, May or June should be good for me. I'm hopeful a vaccine is more widely available by then. Can't say I've made much progress on the theme OB build, but we'll see where it goes. Either way I'll plan to be there. Miss hanging out with you guys!

After much discussion on multiple fronts, we have date and location set. May 14, 15 in Laporte, Indiana at the Quality Inn and Suites.

You will need to contact them directly for pricing and reservations for our event. Tell them you are with the "speaker builders".
