From what I understand, PE is not holding MWAF this year.

I exchanged some emails with a PE person who's in the know just this week, and she stated they had a meeting very recently to discuss this possibility. She said they're likely to send a survey to regular attendees to get input on whether to hold the event and what changes might be necessary because of Covid-19.

Ben, How often do you update the InDIYana attendee list? I submitted my name via the "organizer" email but haven't heard back or seen any changes. Am I doing something wrong?

I received the email from PE yesterday asking about interest in the speaker design competition. Potentially planning for Sep, but will obviously be based on the responses they get from prior participants. It will be very different for sure if it happens.

Just go to "DIY Iowa" in October then. I sincerely doubt PE will host an event that is not in the same town (let alone state).

I noted there was no mention of the tent sale. That could be a contributing factor to my attendance. I seem to recall in 2019 Lance was petitioning for some type of separate testing by the judges. I was not fond of that idea then or now.

The presenter should be able to set up their entry, and listen in the back, and then remove them when finished. I also LIKE judging the peer ballots.
