They are both excellent, and the TCP115 is dirt cheap, but the SB is also very affordable.
Also do you know of any good builds that use the cheaper SB and a different tweeter? I'm wanting to build a cheap desktop setup for work. The SB12 looks like a great candidate.

No plans for a sub, but who knows.. I do have a sub problem. These will likely be for light music at my desk or background music in the bedroom.. maybe I'll shift gears and build a bluetooth boombox.

Do you plan to use a sub with them?

Always a fan of RS drivers but I have a few scattered through the house already.. I'd like to try something different.

RS150p is on sale (but on backorder). Based on PE recommendations doesn't look like it goes a low as the Peerless but may work better in the small cabinet.

That's a nice tweeter. I have a pair currently used with a buyout Peerless 6.5" woofer. My intention is to try these with some other woofers that I own, however, the current combination is very good.
I use a subwoofer, so the boxes are small, and sealed. I can swap in this woofer to my existing boxes. I think a while back I determined that the same xo worked for both drivers, but likely would need a little tweaking. Curent design is pretty much full BSC, as they are on stands well out into the room.

I have also been tempted to try them with this woofer.

Woofer To Go With LD22 Tweeter
I just updated the tweeter on my main speakers so now I have a couple CSS Audio LD22 tweeters lying around. I think I want to use them to build some bookshelves that will fit in the PE mini bookshelf knock down cabs, they're .23 cubic feet. I'm trying to go easy to build and easy on the budget so I'm thinking drivers around $40 each. The real rub is I have no clue how to design the crossover so drivers that are also easy to work with would be nice. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions when I get to that point. I'm not 100% what they will be used for.. maybe computer speakers. Any recommendations are much appreciated.Tags: None
