Bliesma 3" domes info released

Info sheets on the new Bliesma 3" domes has been released on Vegalab and Hificompas posted on Diyaudio, four variants - Silk, Aluminium, Paper and Beryllium. Looks interesting, no idea on price range but a question has been asked on Vegalab so eagerly awaiting response.

They look like nice drivers but the price is almost certain to make them irrelevant for most of us. What do we know about the mechanical side of things and particularly the rocking mode? Do they have a double suspension? It is this type of thing that lead to them largely disappearing and drivers like the TB 75-1558SE failing to take hold despite looking good on paper.

Be interesting to see what the pricing strategy is, given the T34B beryllium tweeters are close to £700 per pair I hate to think what a dome twice the diameter will be.

If you check out the Vegalab link then it looks like Purifi will be releasing a 7.5” woofer as well. Interesting.

Prices have been posted on the DIY Loudspeaker Pad on Facebook. 380Euro for the Silk/Paper/Aluminium and 650Euro for the Beryllium (each).

Too rich for me, but could be good for someone wanting to build a Yamaha NS1000 type speaker.
