Just give us the brand and model of the sound bar rather than a link. That will help determine if it has an acceptable output for the sub amp and not annoy our hosts with a link to a competing retailer.

Chances are that line level booster will help, but there may be other options.

Posting links to other retailers is not allowed.
Did you read my post where I stated my sound bar has a sub out? That is a line level output just like the sub out from an AVR.

The sound bar is a Yamaha YAS-109...in case my link gets deleted again, the line driver I'm considering is the LGB-1 made by a company called Home Theater Direct. I tried to find a line driver from PE, but they don't sell them anymore...

I was on a chat with a PE customer service person yesterday and the only unit he could recommend to me from PE was a Bellari PP532, which is only a passive unit, not a line driver. Do you have a link, or an item number for any of these devices?

It is not the same as the LFE/Sub output of an AVR. For one thing an AVR can adjust the outputs to all the speakers and the LEF/Sub output independently. Most AVRs also boost the LFE/Sub output by 10dB.That's why I asked if you have an AVR. I guess not.

This sound bar has a separate volume control for the sub. I don't know if it has any boost, I haven't been able to find out any info on that. I'm guessing it doesn't, which is probably why the signal is so low.

Wolf, I think the cleanbox would work, and nothing comes up for the item #233-168. The LGB-1 is only $45, whereas the Cleanbox is $89...

I think the Talent might be discontinued. Sorry.

The other extreme is the Radial J+4 as a line driver, but about 3x the cost of the ART.

I checked out the manual, pretty simple. I'm sure you've messed with the subwoofer volume control on the remote as well as the master volume. The single RCA output should go the the left input, a Y adapter to connect to both R and L on the sub side. will boost level by 6dB to the sub.

If that's too quiet still the line level booster you found will help.
