Very nice, unfortunately the yellow is not my cup of tea.

Yes, the cabinet is based on the ProAc Studio 125.
beautiful little floorstander that. Especially in the veneers that ProAc offered them in: yew, and birds-eye maple.

It’s the speaker that got me into the hobby over 2 decades ago.

It’s a very suitable cabinet for many 6.5-7” midwoofers of the era.

The late Stewart Tyler knew certainly what he was doing, with mirror imaged off-set tweeters, thicker baffles, constrained layer damping, full baffle step compensation etc.

The Nephila puts the tweeter higher than any other design using this somewhat short cab. Also visually "out of the rut".

    From Paul:
    TRS-80
    PET
    Amiga
    Dayton Classic Revival

    From me:
    Nephila

I know there are more, but the cabinet was championed by Paul and used several times over.

You could do a two way with the Peerless SDS-160 (available from PE) and the Vifa BC25TG, a sort of clone of a German DIY design "Startair 2S".

That design used the 830657 but the SDS-160 sounds the same and has more Xmax.

I made a test build in a smaller cabinet (0.5 cu ft) but found the sound a little bright, have since tweaked the XO for better balance but this woofer really needs the larger cabinet.

Also...any speaker you can find with an 8" wide baffle and LESS THAN 1.16 cu ft would work as you could just put a divider in place to not use the un-need volume.

I did a quick look and found a lot more 8.5" wide speakers.

Random thought... Give them a little built on stand and port out the bottom for the Apollo's to bring the tweeters up. Those Anarchy woofers are great.

Wolf's Nephila, the box needs modded a bit. Wolf seems to think they are pretty nice. Component kit available elsewhere.

How about the Apollo-7 MTM in a tower?
