    VirtuixCAD does have a tool for that. Imports FRD files and will calculate and adjust the close mic port and cone measurements. It'll also merge that to a far field measurement. I've only stumbled through it once though, so by no means an expert. Still a bit of a Virtuix noob.

    No worries. Outdoor measurements aren't an option for me so I have to follow the quasi anechoic process. This is ultimately the measurement to validate model, its just the only white paper that details this formula explicitly assumed round ports.

    My mistake, I didn't realize that's what you were trying to do. I never bother with that myself. I do all measurements outdoors at a minimum of two meters. If I wanted to model port and cone output separately I'd use HornResp.

    10 LOG (Area1 / Area2)
    If both are circles, then
    = 10 LOG ( pi * R1^2 / pi * R2^2)
    = 10 LOG (R1/R2)^2
    = 20 LOG (R1/R2)
    = 20 LOG (0.5*D1 / 0.5*D2)
    = 20 LOG (D1 / D2)

    Yes, makes sense since area is proportional to diameter squared.
