can you change the impedance of a driver with anything?

Going through the bag of tricks i have a small lowfi amp, which only can do 4ohm drivers, but have 2 8ohm full rangers.

any tricks with anything that i can use them but as 4 ohm, without sacrificing either out put from the already low powered amp? ie running in series/parallel

Not in any practical whay that I'm aware of. With DVC drivers it is possible to use different capacitor values across an unused coil to change the Q value.

How low power are we talking? If the amp can do 4ohm, it can do 8. Not all amps specifically halve or double the power between 4 and 8 ohms.

Use the 2 8 Ohm drivers in parallel.

5-6w per channel. its a 6.5v amp to get that power output. The fella told me the amp only does 4 ohms. its a slow boat amp i normally use for my 1s builds.

The fella is wrong. While tube amps have maximum impedance requirements SS have minimum impedance requirements.

well thats promising, i still only wanted to use the one battery. Only thing i guess is if im expecting 5watts per channel with the 4 ohm's i should halve it for the 8ohm

A horn will increase the impedance (not a waveguide, but a real horn). But that might not be the answer you were looking for ;

I'm trying to be tight and not.buy anything, but at the same time designed something too small for an alternative amp and I don't want to change from the original intentions....lol, such a pain

Oh, a lot of people build their own horns. Unfortunately, a working horn can't be small...

Yea, not horn Worthy, I'm using 1.5 inch drivers.

I could design in a decent fold and 3d print it but......would need to fit in a body that is 250x120x50mm and house.2 drivers lol. I'll post it If works but the test for.fhs one.twice.the size that hopefully will come
