Hi all,
As I mentioned in another thread, I picked up a pair of AR92 last night and coming home, I could see that the woofers surround foam was disintegrated into confetti!
Now this, on top of surface damage and a dented mid, turned this project into a bigger one. But I want to see the actual status of “the rest of the speakerâ€
Now to my questions. Having a damaged woofer, is it wise to measure system impedance and freq. response in the normal way? Should I protect the voice coils by disconnecting the woofers and replace them with a resistor prior to measuring?
Do you think the drivers are worth some money?
