Yamaha TF3 Mixer

My organization recently purchased a Yamaha TF3 mixer. I am having trouble getting sound to come through the monitor speakers. Everything else is working; all sound & mics come through main speakers but I am unable to get it through monitor speakers for performers. I have them plugged into the correct location for monitor speakers on the Omni output location #1 & #2 outputs. I am very new to this soundboard and just trying to figure things out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Few stereophiles use mixers. My setup uses a TOA M-243, but I'm also a weirdo with a 19" rack

Dumb question, but I'll ask anyways. Are those passive monitors that you're hooking to line-level outputs?

It's not dumb at all, we see newbies do that all the time over at my forum, where I'd say at least 60% of members are into pro-sound.

If they're active monitors, I'll ask if the power light is ON and the volume control is up ;)
