Curious how this finish is achieved.

Hi guys, been flip flopping on how to finish my Amigas, one option I've considered is paint but I'm looking for a specific texture and wondering how it's achieved. Veneer is an option as well, but I figured the paint might end up being a little cheaper, but I also figure this finish can only be achieved with a nice paint gun.

Almost looks like a flat coat first, then a spatter on top of it.

It could be DuraTex, impossible to say for sure.

It's done with either a foam roller or a hopper gun.

Rustoleum has several texture paints in spray cans. You could give a light coat of one of the splatter paints which will give you the little squiggles, then hit it with a semi gloss or flat black spray bomb.

It's a smidge too smooth for Duratex unless they thinned it. I think Bill is right about how ATC got that finish.

That said, you can get close to that finish with Duratex, just be a tad more textured.

The Rust-Oleum option mentioned would be worth looking into too.
