Woofer tester 3 problem solved!

Well after months and months of a having intermittent problems with my Woofer Tester 3, and Installing and reinstalling and uninstalling and trying different computers and different USB ports and different programs like DATs V2 and V3.

anyone who’s had intermittent problems like this and given up and gone back later and almost purchased a new DATs will know the frustration

Dry solder joint on one of the alligator clips!

Years and years ago, probably decades, I experienced the same problem and found the bare wire inside the alligator clip wasn't soldered at all, just poorly crimped. Soldered them and problem gone.

The clue was that the traces during test leads AND impedance calibration was varying and all over the place, on each and every trial.
