    This is interesting...

The GRS RT1.R-8 looks interesting. Seems to be based on the Neo CD3.0. It’s flat to 20kHz, very wide horizontal dispersion, no break up. Looks like a nice update to a classic design.

Due to its size, wouldn't it more likely be based on the Neo CD1.0 rather than the Neo CD 3.0? I used the Neo CD1.0 many years ago on my canTiLena (still have them) and love that tweeter especially because it has such good horizontal dispersion and very reasonable vertical dispersion.

Paul, just comparing the physical size I think the GRS RT1.R-8 and the Fountek Neo CD3.0 are almost identical, the response curves are also pretty similar with the GRS maybe a little flatter. The Neo CD1.0 looks like it is about 20mm smaller.

I guess you're right. I dug up my old spec sheet for the Neo CD1.0. Its flange diameter was 100 mm compared to 110 mm for this new tweeter. My old spec sheet also gives the dimensions of the ribbon as 8mm x 38mm x 0.17mm but the linked spec sheet for the new tweeter doesn't have that info. The spec sheet you linked for the old Neo CD3.0 shows ribbon dimensions of 8mm x 60mm x 0.015mm (either this thickness is incorrect or the thickness stated for the Neo CD1.0 is incorrect).

I wouldn't mind seeing more tweeters with these nice terminals.
