WinISD question on driver wiring...

Seems like a simple question, but I'm trying to sim a box for two of the same drivers and I can't seem to find where to enter if the two voice coils are considered to be wired in series or parallel. When I change from 1 to 2 drivers I do see the two impedance humps change and shift, but overall they still present an 8 ohm load total, and they are 8 ohm drivers.

It's probably obvious, but I can't see it.

Enter the parameters for the driver as a whole in the wiring configuration you want. Number of voice coils only affects Re and BL in WinISD, really the entire driver should be re-measured for new set of T/S.

I never thought there was a way to affect the plotted impedance (or SPL) when using multiple drivers in a box (I use ver. 0.50a7 - usually), but going off what dcibel said - if you set up a box w/a single (8ohm) driver, then just switch to "2", you CAN change the plotted impedance (AND SPL) by halving the Re (for a parallel cnx - in the parameters box), or doubling it (for series).

I think dcibel's response would be the way to go IF you wanted a DVC driver entered into your DB with TWO permanent entries, one for a series cnx and one for parallel? For output-level matching (like on a 3-way w/dual woofers) I just rely on my XO sims, basically only using WinISD for box sizing, tuning, and rolloff predictions.

I was concerned that something wasn't registering with the program, and my sims would potentially be off regarding frequency response per box size. It seems like only the impedance is really not registering correctly and that's no issue really. Like Chris said, that stuff is more important in the crossover realm, and I'm just trying to get a box worked up.

I'll probably double check this basic design with BassBox Pro as I still have a working copy, just to make sure it's close to what I'm expecting.
