  • Can Parts Express get the Visaton Wave guides?

    Maybe I missed this before?

AFAIK PE doesn't carry them, but Mouser does.

You could also reach out to PE and see if they'd special order it, but I'd bet it would be more extensive than at Mouser. I special ordered some crossover parts a few years ago and they were easy to work with.

You could try I guess. I don't see them doing it unless they also carry tweeters that are a direct fit as advertised by Visaton... which they currently don't.

I got a pair of WG148s from Mouser. Planning to try some beast mode tweets in em at some point if I can get some adaptors made.
I'm certainly not good at this. Just stubborn enough to keep going.

I think this would be a good part to carry, I’ve suggested it to PE before as well. Just a suggestion.

14,8 cm Waveguide of high-quality plastic for 25 mm tweeters. The exponential enlargement provides a high sound pressure level gain in the lower high frequency range, which discharges the tweeter. In addition, the focus and the coupling to a woofer are improved, because the sound generation planes move closer together. For fixation of the tweeter on the waveguide 4 pieces M4 screws (length approx. 10 mm) are added.

And it does fit the Dayton RST28F and A.

True; I have a pair of rst28f in the Visaton guides, just had to remove the screen.

                      Wow. They actually did it..

Visaton WG 148 R Round Waveguide for 1” Dome TweetersThe Visaton WG148R is a superior 14.8 cm waveguide designed to optimize the performance of 25 mm tweeters. Constructed with high-quality plastic, it guarantees enduring robustness for long-lasting use. One of the main strengths of the WG148R is its exponential enlargement. This unique design provides a substantial boost in the sound pressure level in the lower high-frequency range. This not only improves the overall audio quality but also relieves the tweeter, ensuring it lasts longer and performs better. Moreover, the WG148R enhances the focus of your sound system and improves the coupling to a woofer. By bringing the sound generation planes closer together, it ensures a richer, fuller sound experience with improved detail and depth. The WG148R comes with 4 pieces of M4 screws, approximately 10 mm in length, for easy and secure tweeter fixation. Whether you're setting up a new audio system or looking to improve an existing one, the Visaton WG148R is an excellent choice that promises enhanced audio performance.

Visaton WG 220x150 Rectangular Waveguide for 1” Dome TweetersThe Visaton WG220x150 is a first-class 15 x 22 cm waveguide designed to enhance the performance of 25 mm tweeters. Constructed from high-quality plastic, it ensures robustness and durability for sustained use. The highlight of the WG220x150 is its exponential enlargement, which delivers a substantial sound pressure level gain in the lower high-frequency range. This design improvement not only augments the overall audio quality but also discharges the tweeter, increasing its longevity and efficiency. In addition, the WG220x150 improves both the focus of your sound and the coupling to a woofer. By bringing the sound generation planes closer together, it guarantees a richer and more immersive sound experience with detailed depth and clarity. The WG220x150 has been carefully adjusted in width and length to fit 13 cm (e.g., AL 130 8 Ohm) and 20 cm (e.g., AL 200 8 Ohm) loudspeakers. This compatibility makes it a versatile addition to your audio setup. Included with the waveguide are 4 pieces of M4 screws, each approximately 10 mm in length, facilitating an easy and secure tweeter connection. Enhance your sound system with the Visaton WG220x150 waveguide and experience improved audio performance.
