  • Help with Infinity Entra One speaker upgrade

Hello. I'm new to to speaker building, but very interested in it. I have a 5.1 surround Infinity Entra one speakers system with the back two surround speakers but about 2 and half times taller then the book self ones.

After doing some research I've learned I have no idea what drivers would be great replacements for the stock ones and would like some please.
    Tweeter 3/4"
    Drive 6" 1/2

I read the cross over is at 2500hz but thats as much as i know.

The only way to know if the OEM drivers can be improved upon is to know their T/S specs and model them for their low frequency response, and see a data sheet with SPL chart for their midrange and high frequency response. Ideally you'd also want to see a waterfall chart for the complete speaker. Chances are none of these are available.

The best way for a newbie to get into building is with a tried and true design or kit. Acquiring the skills to roll your own takes years to develop to the point that you're better off doing that.

If building cabinets is a challenge, share the cabinet dimensions and someone can help you find a DIY design to best fit.

So the dimensions of the front speaker boxs is
        • 15-1/16"H x 8-9/16"W x 9-15/16"D
        speaker holes are for a 3/4 " tweeter and 6 1/2 " driver

        Rear are

        38-inch tall, 8.5-inch wide, 12.75-inch deep enclosures

        And saMe tweeter and driver

        Center is

        17-5/8"W x 6-9/16"H x 6-3/8"

With one 3/4 tweeter and two 4inch woofers

        All speakers are ported too

And a 12 inch 400w rms sub that I'll be upgrading later.

How thick are the cabinet walls? Needed to determine volume.

If this is the series you want to modify, it would be quite a project to retrofit any improved drivers into that baffle with the waveguide tweeter. If you removed and replaced the sculpted baffle with a simple flat baffle, the boxes could be readily used. What do you want to do?
