Les, I have no problem with a subwoofer plate amp being used. I think for next year we may create separate categories for passive and active speakers, but for the sake of simplicity we won't this year.Originally posted by Les Hudson View Post
There simply will not be enough time for individuals to adjust an amplifier to the room, so you will have to decide before leaving the speaker with us where the settings will be placed. I apologize if this doesn't offer you the best chance to integrate the speaker to the room, but for this year it will be the way that it has to be. So make sure you are O.K. with the setting instructions before you are given a contestants slip for them.
