Here I am, trying NOT to build new speakers. So what does someone do, gives me a pair of Vifa D26NC55's.... so, I HAD to buy some mids to go with them.. of course...Peerless 832873 5" Nomex, then I HAD to start thinking about what to do with them. So.... I have come up with a vague idea to use them in a smallish 2.1 system with the single Vifa M30WO I have on the shelf as the sub-bass.

Not exactly sure how I will implement things such as amplification yet.

Here is what I am considering for the small 5" 2-way cabinets.. vented so they can get low enough to meet the M30.

Not sure if this will ring a bell down under, but I have a great name for them......The "Mork & Mindy". If you do not understand, that is OK. It was an American TV show from the seventies. Mork was an Alien who arrived to earth in an egg shaped vehicle.

yesm, I remember the show. :D

I'm currently wondering how I can design the bass unit with its amps etc so that it matches.

Colour.. I'm thinking pale blue with a pink pattern overspray from a distance... not quite sure how to describe...

I used Clarisworks (an old Mac program) running on my PC. Great for basic drawings, but definitely not cad !! ;)
The driver frames where picked up from pdf files and cleaned up in a simple bitmap drawing program.
