Lets say i had an 8ohm tweeter and a 4 ohm woofer and a crossover what would be the overall impedance. Im not sure how do calculate this any help would be appreciated.

You could say it is 4 ohm below the crossover and 8 ohm above ;) Some companies would call that a 4 ohm speaker, others might say 6. If woofer were 8 ohm and tweeter were 4, most would probably call it an 8 ohm speaker.

Your amplifier endures the heaviest load in the bass region. Hence, the load is effectively the sensitivity of the woofer.
