I was just getting ready to ask the same question. I'm really hoping it's not on the 18th of July but that will just make the day that much more interesting. Have to get back to the hometown for my 20th class reunion . Any idea also if the DIY show is going to coincide with the Tent Sale?

I don't think the world health organization was involved previously and neither were those guys from England.

I hope it doesn't! That was a non-thrill having to rush outta there to get to the event.

I heard mumblings of having it a "cooler time of the year" during the event last year, so I'm not sure if they moved it back to October, whenever, or not.
The AC being off was a big issue that hot July day last year.

Brian- Darren and/or PE have hosted Dayton in the past. 2002-2006 was Darren mostly while he worked there, and 2008 was PE/Mike V.

Hey Wolf, umm, some of us live a little further away and greatly appreciated the opportunity to attend both the DIY and tent sale all in one shot.
Plus the AC noise might actually have helped mask some of my speakers deficiencies and the heat made me want to drink more beer, so speak for yourself.

            cheers,

            AJ

That was hot? I didn't notice, my car had AC, the hotel had AC, Parts Express had free water, I was happy. I just didn't get to stay long 'cause I had my wife and kid. Hopefully next time I can stay longer.

I wasn't very impressed with the listening I DID hear, because it was too quiet to really hear the speakers well.

I guess I didn't realize you were there, or probably just match the name and face.

Too quiet, like when hunting wabbits? Or do you mean the loudspeaker playback levels were very low. If the latter, then I agree and I believe many had similar comments. It wasn't just propagation loss further back. The initial SPL was determined by a pair of 3" speakers, which I imagine would be placed on a computer desk or worn like headphones, to achieve sufficient levels at home.
Hopefully we can kick things up a notch this year, assuming that there is an event.

                    cheers,

                    AJ
