oviously, excurision is reached and distortion is accurs at the very low end. would it help to place a filter, say 30mhz? how do i know the renosonce? is that the same as the tuning freq? passive radiator velocity is almost nil.

Tuning frequency is resonance, yes.

HT is a TOUGH requirement, especially for an 8 inch "sub" with limited Xmax.

A 30Hz high pass would probably be a good thing.
