wa wa wee wa! Looks great man! I think they were the cambridge soundworks ones. I bought 2... still need to do something with them. They were pretty good in theor orignal design back in the day.

Watching a movie at at high SPL... As obscenely loud as the rumbling is, the dialog plows right through. Awesome.

It's seriously more visceral than a movie theater. All I need is a projection screen...

That's way better than anything I built when I was 15. It's pretty cool of your dad to help you with the design and build.

I always had to sneak my speaker projects around so they wouldn't get noticed.

20 bucks a pop, an unfortunately long-gone buyout from what my dad and I think was either Boston Acoustics or Cambridge soundworks. I got them all 20% off at the tent sale.

so...what are your impressions? (if they are hooked up) I am a fan of big speakers. I like your idea.

They are EXTREMELY deep. A little muddy at times, but they're really crossed over too high at 100hz, I need to get a good external crossover. That should fix it, they are SUBwoofers, after all.

Insane with "boom boom" music. I've hat light bulbs rattle out of thier sockets. They would eventually fall out if i didn't tighten them, and that's with intermittent use (I'm only 15, there's parents to worry about, lol!)'

BTW, The FS3 of one sub is 18hs, and the FS10 is 15.

The last picture is them with a pair of Magnapan MG IIb's, Marantz HD880's (with Dayton Series 2's) and finally, a pair of Pioneer S-710's, with Dayton classic woofers. The center Channel is an MTX, also picked up at a tent sale.

Nice bracing! It seems that half of your pictures got eaten, though. I think there's a limit to the number of attachments you can add to any post.

Not the best name, but not inappropriate.

Two tent sales ago, there was a buyout of 12' subwoofers, so I bought 10.


My father and I designed these cabinets in WinISD beta, and, well, built them.
