Hi. I would like to go from active Econowaves to passive, and I want to try the standard HE crossover. Is there a BOM somewhere, maybe with links to the parts at PE?

Have a look at the first page. Zilch was thoughtful enough to link the project to the first few posts, along with schematics.

I might very well be blind Pete, but I cant see a BOM for the crossover for woofers with high sencivity (above 95db) there... I dont have any of the woofers in the list either. I use the Eminence Beta 12A.

I believe that all the tweeters are coupled with L-pads so that they can be adjusted to various woofers.

has anyone found a cheaper compression driver to replace the D220T? There have been a number of new and smaller drivers out there

The D220T is pretty inexpensive but there is a new and cheaper version that takes the same diaphragm assembly the D202Ti, personally I would be looking toward the CDX1-1446 for $1 more.

DIYSoundgroup has a Denovo DNA-150 CD that may work well, but will need a crossover redesign.

I'll experiment some with new compression drivers, but the Selenium and B&C are working out very well. Anyone still printing PC boards? I can't stop building. lol

Hey, I am really interested in building the Econowave Deluxe can anyone direct me to what wave-guide I can use instead of the one QSC 152i. I can't see them available anywhere.

Would the B&C ME45 work well enough not to make any changes on the crossover?

I'm betting any different waveguide will require some tweaking for best results. Every horn and waveguide has its own personality, and that depends on the driver used on it. You may have to choose your substitutes and measure, and tweak.

I thought so, I mean I guessed that there would be some tweaking I was just hoping within 104 pages there might be an option that would save me going to that extra effort. I might just go with the ME45 and see how I go, I got DSP so perhaps Audiolense will flatten everything out anyway. But I can and have the possibility to measure and tweak if need be...

Do you know much about the difference between the Deluxe LF and the Delite 12? I know the woofer drivers are different but curious if someone is experience in these speakers with requirements such as slam, transients and dynamics. (want all of these variables with as much as possible) Preferably in a closed box. From what I can deduce the 2512 driver is suited more for closed but there was a recommendation in the thread to just close the Deluxe LF if you had subs?

Ill be honest, I can't seem to find information on the crossover point and sensitivity. I think the Deluxe LF is about 90db which isn't much, I really wanted higher.

And lastly the DE250 comes in a titanium and a polymide which one do we use?

I've scoured the pages just everything is all over the place and need some confirmation to start moving ahead with this goal. It seems like the most affordable constant directivity speaker with a compression driver and large woofer which is exactly what I want.

I hate the sound of titanium, so I'd use the polyimide. I'd be a little wary of that 600Hz stuff. That horn is way too tiny for that. At a guess, a 1kHz crossover might be OK. Plus, I doubt your drivers will be happy at 600Hz.

I believe this horn is a copy of the original qsc horn. I would use the original CD and you should be good to go on the crossover.
