What's the crossover in use for above?
Custom made with PCD for this combination or what?

        Yes.

The drill is I design a crossover using the posted data in PCD and submit my design result as benchmark, with actual performance measurements. The challenge is to flex your own PCD mettle and do it better. Then, I load up that design, measure it, and we compare.

The process reveals the strengths and weaknesses of the various combinations of EconoWave components, alignments, and filters in starkly objective relief.

I don't post the details of my original attempt initially, but it's pretty easy for anyone working with the same data in PCD to figure out what I did, given the known limited spectrum of my own skills, well documented here.... :p

It's rare a system actually measures +/- 1 dB here:

What exactly is that anyways and where do you buy it?

Wow, looks awesome. That little notch did wonders.

Too bad that waveguide is so ridiculously expensive.

By the way, where can you purchase 18Sound drivers?

It's pipe insulation from Home Depot.

Most measurements since Round #1 have been without it. Measurements showed that it made little difference and merely had a different "signature."

Unlike most others we build with, XT1086 is aluminum.

The premium 1.5" throat versions of JBL PT waveguides are more expensive, actually, though there are recent releases of "econo" variants in several alternative dispersion patterns. The AE product family has expanded mind-bogglingly:

Click the AVS link in post #195 to see a way less expensive option from JBL. I'll probably be posting the variant using BMS 4540 here, but I want to try BMS 4552nd on the 18-Sound waveguide first, and confirm that 4550 behaves similarly.

                  [Or vice-versa, maybe.... ;) ]

Wow! Nice response off axis. A bit bigger box and a port and you've got an excellent little MT that from as size point most people can live with. I do agree that the horn's a bit pricey and imagine there's a cheaper variant with acceptable tradeoffs somewhere out there.

Working on that, of course. I'd snug the woofer and waveguide closer together to widen the forward lobe, but it's certainly the FR to beat.

                      Here's the HF wavelet:

Those work quite nicely, also, but not down this low.
