On those 2510's, if the boxes were ported and tuned around 70hz or so, do you think that would be enough for a center channel? Or would it not give enough powerful bass output? I'm not sure what a center channel needs to go down to and I know most cross them over around 80hz.

I use an eWave with the 2510 for my center channel. The XO from the subwoofer is set to 80Hz and the center channel is set to "small" so the center channel really doesn't see much, if any, low bass. It seems to work for me.

Don, is your center ported or sealed? By crossing over at 80hz it probably doesn't matter much.

I'm just now gathering the data on it with the 8" 228H. It's gonna cross ~2.1 kHz; 2510 can play that....

Might be too much overkill though.

How long before you start your project? I can't wait to see it.

I've built a few test boxes for the 2510 Erich and IF you're crossing at 80hz to a sub, i would recommend sealed in .75 cuft for heavily stuffed for an F3 of 100hz....keeps the midbass clean and vocals super intelligable.

Any idea how efficient (1 watt/1 meter) all of the speakers in post 1 might be? Got a buddy that is looking for a new set of speakers to drive with a low wattage tube amp.

The Eminence Deltalite 2512 and Kappalite HO, with eff's of ~ 99 dB, result in speakers of ~95 dB efficiency, after baffle step. The Deltalite 2510 is ~2.5 dB less, so it comes in around 92.5 dB.

The mid-bass efficiencies are the determining factor...Deduct ~4-5 dB from that.
