Think about mounting them to a wall or something, using a security-type head on the driver screws, etc., so they don't end up in the trombone player's bedroom.

Yes I think this would be a necessity. However, being a trombone player I feel that your remark may be incorrect. Trombone players are upstanding people and would never do such a thing. Drummers are the more likely group.

As a trombone player, all that ended up in my bedroom from the band hall were members of the color guard. Definitely gotta watch the drummers.
