I'll bring them over to NY DIY and will measure driver positions etc. I have all the info in the shop.
ProAc Vifa is very close to a stock DX-25. You could use stock FR and impedance and get away with it.
My crossover was a bit overcomplicated because I was trying to get FR of the Fountek as close as possible to ZA14. You may be able to just do second order electrical may be with notch filter. All thou there aren't too much in component count.
Both drivers are fairly easy to work with so, I'd get creative in PCD but you are welcome to use my crossover as well.

    r-carpenter,

I'm looking to make some surrounds to go with my mains using FW168's and was wondering a few things about your FW146 bookshelf.

    1. What were the cabinet dimensions, center points for drivers, etc for the enclosures you built?

2 What was the port size and tuning for the build?

    3. I'm guessing I'll need to model it in PCD using your crossover as a starting point but do you have an idea of how close the proAC tweeter and the DX-25 tweeter should be modeling wise?

    Thanks
    Jay

Beautiful. They look like they were cut from a solid block of wood. Wow.

Thanks! These were allot easier to make then your curved-front 2-ways though.

There is a wide range in the effect of different types of stuffing.

all done. all in my home for listening impressions. both systems sound nearly identical.
Oh, thanks for a good advise Peter, that Owens worked well. Not a black hole per say but pretty effective. I did get a case and making some sound absorbers for my home listening room.

Re: follow up on ZA 14 vs Fountek

Small update. Both systems are together and playing. I haven't had time to seat down and listen critically but from the first few hours both sound quite nice. I've listened to the ZA14 pair to look for that forwardness in the vocals and rather noticed chestiness in the male vocals. Crossover was changed slightly. I don't hear any problems at this point. I can't say that I am terribly exited about this Vifa tweeter. ZA14 and FW probably deserve OW1 or 2905. More to come later. I'll be setting a switch box (which I have, Bryston) for comparison.
    Later.

Oh and while I have Owens Corning 703, it is not in the speakers yet. Sorry.
