Mine are still in progress. They are actually going to be a sound bar with a Tang Band 6.5" sub in the middle. The whole thing is 7" tall, 36" wide and about 14" deep and will sit under my 36" Tube. All three sections are tuned with 1.5" ports (one for each of the Nano Neos and two for the Sub). They will be powered with a Pioneer 4 channel car audio amp that has built in variable active hi-pass/lo-pass that can be set anywhere from 40 Hz to 200 Hz. Channel 3&4 will be bridged for the sub. I am leaving the Nano Neos port tuned to allow me some flexibility when setting the active XO. According to my modeling in UniBox, you can run them all the way down to between 40 & 50 Hz before the woofer starts getting crazy at higher SPL. What an amazing little driver.

I built a pair of Pico Neos. All I have to say is WOW, amazing what can be done with just a driver and a box.

Hey Chris- I too am building a pair of nano neo's along with a "custom" center channel ntn sorta that I discussed earlier with you about driver spacing and such....

I have built crossovers for the nano's (and taken pics) hooked drivers up for a little listen and "break in" but have not had time to build enclosures.

My ntn towers are in process. Had to wait for a couple of parts to come in. Everything is here now and wood is cut. I'll be getting to the gluing process this weekend.

I'm not. What I am planning is to add a top over the drivers that will hide the frame. The tweet will get flush mounted into that. I'm using 3/8" oak

I was thinking about the exact same thing . . . only 1/2" oak for me. Id use a router to create the "space" on the backside of the cover. By my way of thinking, this seems like the best way to give these a "finished" look.

Would there be any issue running the port out the front of the cabinets instead of the rear? I'm contemplating building some and if I do they would be mounted against the wall flush.

If you play 40 Hz test tones loudly, the little woofer moves enough air to make blowing sounds. Rear porting helps mask that. But, it depends. A generous radius at the exit can help.

I'll be building a set too. I originally planned to build the Neos, but as I read on, I've become intrigued by the NTNs as well. So, I've ordered four drivers, thinking I might want to build enclosures for both the Nanos and the Neos. I didn't comprehend your edit in the first post regarding the crossover updates , so now I've got to go back and supplement the order with more parts so I can build the more refined crossover. Might as well order enough stuff to build two separate sets... Can't wait to hear them. Thanks for "shepherding the flock" here...

Chris,

I posted a question on one of the XO pics on your gallery, but I ended up finding the answer to it. I'm getting ready to order the parts for these, but noticed item #015-4 (the 4 ohm 5w resistor for the HP) is out of stock till 3/28. Would there be any problem with using this #004-4 in its place?
