    Chris,

I figured you would like the white ones. I've seen your picture gallery! He got the brackets on amazon, they are pretty well made. They only had black so we sprayed them the same color as the speakers on all exposed parts. They clamp down really well and then it's also screwed to the bottom of the cabinet. We may have to modify the bracket to allow the speakers to angle down more to the listening area. I wish they didn't have to be so high up but the glass really rules out anything lower.

We still have to finish painting the ntns. He didn't want to take them apart yet so we focused on getting the Neos done and mounted.

I did check that and moved it, but it seems to be back. I'll take it apart to check it. An old trick is to put a bit of heat shrink on the lead. Stiffens it up a bit and keeps it away. Least it used to work before designers started doing woven leads.

A want to give Chris a BIG thank you for his design. The towers have been well received. I will be building other iterations of these and the nts as well.

In an earlier post Chris said something about the leads possibly rubbing against the diaphram, or something like that? Anyway, I made sure to loop mine away from the moving parts of the driver before I installed them.

    Isaeagle,

    Those are looking good.

    Pete00t,

He is going to go with a semi gloss black for the ntn and white for the neos to blend with the walls as they will be on brackets on the wall for surrounds.

Didn't know if you guys saw the pics, so I thought I would give you a link. These are my tower ntns that I showcased at InDIYiana this past weekend.

Got some more work done these past two weekends. We did not get finished but we were able to get the NTN's up and running for the first time even if the cabinets just have primer on them. They sound great as I expected from having had my Neos for awhile. Here are some photos. I had absolutely no clue that a picture of the project was on the tv screen when I took this first picture. Didn't see it til I transfered the photos to my pc when I got home.

    The helpers slacking off again!

    And again!

Some more photos from my Dads's camera.

Conclusion: I love them both for different reasons, but a few words on the NTN's. There's not too many compliments that can be given at this point that haven't already been covered. They are absolutely incredible! The bass is truly amazing as is the sound quality overall. I currently have them running on an old Yammy RX V530 with my phone hooked up and Pandora going on "The Jazzmasters". I just kick back in the recliner, turn the lights down, and go into another world..no worries of work, the flooding, or the wife yelling at me (although I'm sure she'll be up here shortly with some sorta honey-do). Big Band is incredible also.. as the bass player digs a little deeper, the NTN's are there representing every note, beautifully! And Chris, as if you haven't heard this enough, thanks again.. (your head should be about the size of the moon by now! lol). Pic below as I sit here and write this (did turn the lights up for a sec for the pic.
Nice job on the NTN's. I love your man-cave, reminds me of my attic from a few years ago. And I love the Mini-Me!

I finally got around to bringing my pair inside and running them in stereo. I must say, like everyone else, the bass is impressive. After listening to my old set of DIY's, the difference is night and day. These are a great value. I couldn't help but think of the Nano Neos when viewing the latest DIY project in the PE flyer. It uses a Tang Band 4" and a Dayton tweet in a similar cabinet. Will the popularity of this design make the PE project site?

CWAD, didn't know you played the drums? I do as well. Nice!

I appreciate all of the help you guys provide. Mainly chris' original diagram not having the negative path laid out or terminated with a ground symbol was asking me to dig back too far for my high school electronics class knowledge! But I found a couple of guides through the speaker builder Bible links and that got me to the first drawing I posted. I always try to research myself first before I ask questions as it gives me a better overall understanding than just asking someone outright to tell me what to do. I didn't get any pictures this weekend but I got the neos to the point where my dad could listen to them a bit. He is enjoying them. I will have the crossover ready for this weekend for the ntn and then it will just be down to sealing priming and painting all four. I also ordered the sure 2x100 board, power supply, and volume control for myself yesterday so I guess I have the sickness as well!
