Wow! I think this thread may hold the record for longest/most posts! And that for an Econo build.

I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now.

OK, last thing I need to do is permanently install my terminals. I bought the cheap round pressfit terms and I cut one hole a bit too big. It's not tight. So, I need to adhere them somehow.

What adhesive should I use? Would epoxy be OK? I don't plan on taking them back out once they're in. I need to be careful of excess squeezing out onto my finished veneer.

How much too big? You could build up the perimeter of the hole with some bondo, making the diameter smaller.

Anyway, to answer your question, you could use a water-based adhesive such as latex caulk. That way you could clean up any squeeze-out with a wet rag. Maybe have an old toothbrush handy, just in case.

EDIT 4/16 : Superglue around the rim of the terminal worked.

Well, the latex caulk didn't work. I'm guessing that it's due to the danish oil finish? Maybe it won't adhere?
I'm going to try a thin bead of super glue next.

I can't (or maybe don't want to try) adding bondo to the interior of the cutout. It's just big enough that the press fit terminal doesn't "press in". The lip sits flush with the surface but it's just not tight enough to stay.

If superglue doesn't work, then I'll try the epoxy route...

More progress on the ntn's and nano neo's my Dad and I are building for his house. Doing the ports only halfway through and then flush trimming it followed by the roundover is great. Makes for a perfect port. I did the woofer roundovers with a 1/2'' roundover as the 3/8'' just doesn't seem like enough breathing room. Still have more to do next weekend, but am enjoying immensely all the improvements I have picked up in technique from reading everyones posts here as well as what I learned from the neo build I did for myself.

1/2'' Roundover plus relief for terminals.

              Flush trimming the ports.

              More trimming.

              Flush.

              Roundover.

              Mock up before gluing.

              Mock up before gluing.

              Mock up before gluing.

              Finally gluing up.

Everything glued up except front baffles. Ready for next weekends round of work.

Progress looks good Justin. That poor dog in the background has it rough, doesn't he? haha.

It's nice that you can work these on the weekends, leave them, then come back ready to roll the following week.

                  Ericj,
Yeah I have to keep one day of the weekend open just to relax! Plus his house is a 60 mile roundtrip for me and gas prices haven't been going in the right direction lately! Jacksonville covers a lot of area. The dog has a a greyhound and another dog my folks rescued to play with. He was worn out!

Very cool. 2 different systems for your dad, or what?

                        Chris,
The ntn's will be his front l/r and the neos will be his surrounds. I'm pleased with the proportions of my ntn cabinet redesign to fit the location he needed. Hopefully the port position is ok. They certainly have plenty of space between the end and the front of the baffle. I can't wait to hear them.

When most, not all, build a multi speaker set up beyond stereo usually it's a 3.1 or a 5.1 surround system. 4 speaker lay outs aren't as popular

I'm still confused. Chris quoted me, lol. Was he talking to me?

Either way, a big thanks to Chris for planting the speaker building bug in me with this project. I finished building my second speaker set (the NS35's for my mom), I have parts for 3 sets of NS6 TM's, one Overnight Sensations MTM set, 3 more NS35 sets, and I'm about to place an order for my Statments Monitors parts.
