I'm pretty sure Curt used a TB sandwich in the Mavericks. And there is an 8" of the white paper cone speakers at PE.

I hate that TB does not show off axis response!!!! I wonder what that whizzer cone on the 6" does to off axis? The 5" looks pretty nice. Any prices yet?

I'm familiar with said driver - it's why I'm surprised that they're not reusing the design. It seemed to be a really good configuration - the FR and off-axis response were unusually flat. With a bit more Xmax, there's not much more you could ask for.

Of course, we have the FR89ex, which seems to do just fine without a doorknob.

                          So...

Who's going to be first to break out a hundred-dollar bill for the 4"?

The price definitely reserves these for cost-no-object assaults on the state of the art, since the design of the drivers themselves is such an assault (to say nothing of the wallet). I'm sitting very prettily with my Whetstones for now, but I can't wait to hear a design with one of these drivers at one of the DIYs. That could change my mind.

The design could be called the 'Omelettes', because you can't make an omelet without breaking a few...Benjamins.

Also, people have been asking for this one for a while, and it's finally here:

                            5" poly cone FR

                            Also, the 3":

                            3" neo underhung paper FR

                            And: WTF?

                            Seriously...
