Told the wife I had to build a pair using that driver after bringing them up in another thread and then saying I'd build a pair to bring when you had asked to hear them at the next event. She's met you at previous events and will expect to see you there.

I hope to be there. Being unemployed and not certain of another job by then means the UE could be about ready to recycle for another 6 months. I will try and stipulate that weekend for a couple days off in the terms of hiring if possible.

That is one of the reasons I went with the Usher, but it's NLA.

If you wanted to make a grill, the pencil-holders for office-use from Wallie-World might work for you. Just cut them in half for a semi-cylindrical grille.

Not to go too far adrift, but I wonder if Dayton might consider releasing an RS52F (soft dome version). My main issue with the other available mid domes is their lack of a metal grid protecting the dome.

Your NH really were nice! I thought there might be a small hole or dip between, but I was impressed. You even still managed to keep the midrange clear. Think I woulda bottom-vented for myself.

Thanks again Wolf. You will be hearing from me soon. You lit a fire again for me. I was getting into a funk. All the building and studying I have done a too few around to share it with here...

I have the wife buying into the notion of me making the MWAF next year, so keep them fingers crossed!!! :D:D:D

Ah! My bad. Well it sounded great, whatever it was. Nice work.

My apologies, but we'll agree to disagree there! Definitely not to my tastes!! Riders in the Sky, if Google is any help. But then, not that there wasn't at least one instance that weekend that "my tastes" were called into question and made light of!

"It's all good", though! If we all had the same likes and dislikes, it'd be pretty boring, and nobody wants that ...

Wolf said: "The amp was a QSC GX3/5, and I don't recall the CD source..."

It was a Denon professional unit of some type-- I didn't catch the model, though. Studio, DJ, or installation-style. One rack space, 1-disc. Similar to this:

Regarding the QSC GX series: First one I've seen in person, and I was pleased with the build quality-- especially for the asking price! Faultless sound to my ears, and, no amp clipping at THIS EVENT :D !
