  • Midwest audiofest design question....

After reading a thred below about active speakers, I got a lil' confused.

In the open class is it $150 and below, drivers only, or $200 and below, drivers only. I am planning to go next year and bring a specific budget speaker as a "surprise" for competition.

There were 4 classes for 2010.

under $200 for total retail of drivers
over $200 for total retail of drivers
Dayton, one driver to be Dayton brand
unlimited, ie active eq or plate amp
Mongo only pawn in game of life

if i'm guessing right about which post you're referring to with the $150 figure, i think wolf was talking about the classes for the upcoming iowa meet.

AH! Ok then! Makes sense now.

Is that the list price of the driver, or retail price they go by?

The regular price you buy an item at that is not on sale or buyout cost. Dayton is DRIVERS for the PAIR, not single. Iowa includes xover parts.

You can have active plate-amps in the Dayton class, if you have Dayton drivers in the design.
