He's had those enclosures for quite a while now.

I'm glad to see him finally getting started on them. :p

There's going to be another room with equipment, so if you bring them, I'm sure they'll have a chance to be heard.

Nice design premise, and i don't think you'll have any vertical off axis response considering the waveguide directivity. Pete's suggestion of the .5 woofer above the WG makes good sense here as well. Overall, i think the design will be an excellent performer.:D

very nice. Access to a CNC is sweet... What is the channel on the sides for? or was that covered already...

Does the MCM waveguide have to be modified in any way to be attached to the RS28F? If so, can you please tell us how you did this?

                  Thanks,

You have to machine off the back of the WG until the opening is the same size as the small wedge shaped scallop around the tweeter opening on the face plate.

DT then applied some nuts with epoxy putty to the WG so that he can screw the tweeter with face plate to the back of the WG.

Did you guys take any pictures, especially of the back of the WG? Or might it be possible, so as to get a clearer picture of the outcome/process?

I'll see if I can get him to take a few more pics when I visit with him this weekend.

                        Gonna be cuttin' some wood!!!

From what I gather- those can be picky about the driver you use with them.
I hope to try a set out in the 'jig' eventually, but they're about $40/ea for what I need.

                          Thanks for the reply..

do you have a cnc or did you get them machined? If you did, do you mind me asking how much it cost you?

If you're talking about how to machine the waveguides down to the right size opening, this may help.

                              If not, disregard.
