Of course you do Junior, you're much like my annoying little brother in that respect. :p It's a beautiful job and he should be proud.

Oh, one last thing; I'm thinking of renaming it 'The Beer Project' because you still owe me one for it!

As for sound, I'm probably not qualified to give an accurate assessment, but compared to what I've had in the past (old Polks, Magnaplaner MMGs, ar.com speakers) they are awesome with good imaging and accurate detail. Will allow them to break in and provide another review.

Ultimately they were challenging to construct as a nubie, I'd recommend Paul C's OS as a first build, but luckily I was able to correct many of my mistakes along the way and they finally received the wife's seal of approval, and a big change from the generic black speaker.

I thought it was a richer and more lush tone, and I like it! I could use that on the baffles for the Microtonnes, but we'll see how the rest looks...

First time poster, and first time builder, about to embark on the copper project. Your speakers look great and inspired me to get started! I am thinking of using your removable baffle, but am unsure on a couple of things, did you use any sealant between baffle and enclosure, and do the screws on the baffle cause any spikes?

Over 1/2 way thru my build and I noticed the internal baffle should be 1/2 " while my cut but not yet assembled baffles are 3/4". Should I scrap them and cut new 23x7 x 1/2? It looks like the ones in this thread are the same thickness as the cabinet -3/4"

I don't think there will be a sound difference.

I myself made the same mistake and made one out of 3/4 and the other 1/2. Can't tell the difference acoustically!

As for sealing the baffle to the cabinet, I used regular window weather stripping.

Hello Old and New Timers!

It's been quite awhile since "The Copper Project" build! I've been away from this hobby for >9 yrs, but have been enjoying the fruits daily ever since. These speakers have been rock solid and is it my imagination, but have they improved with time? Trying to get back into the hobby, but the wife complains on a regular basis about all the speaker builds that litter the house.

Geez, built alotta Paul's designs! there must have been a sale at PE at that time!

Anyhow, seems like many of the people back then are still here, and love to see all the new designs and active community!!

Just wanted to say Hello again, and hopefully back in on the fun!
