I was going to suggest this but I was concerned about the effect it may have on the wave guide.

I'm not so sure... I think the crisp edge on the front of the baffles looks nice, particularly because of the waveguide.

Think hard before adding that roundover... tough to go back.

I think they would look best with just the edge softened slightly, in case the baffle gets bumped to keep the corner from chipping, since its gonna get paint. Not a true round-over, just a "break the corner" kind of thing.

I was thinking a tiny chamfer on the edge would look just right.

That would get my vote. I would hand sand all edges the same including the box.

Looks like the WG goes right out to the baffles edge... if it does taper in right at the edge, a routing will look "uneven" as the bit hits WG where the baffles thins. I'd watch that close.

Just breaking the edge with some hand sanding would be nice!!!

As Ed says, it will be a hand sanded rounded edge. No router will be touching the face of that baffle.

Well, Ryan did a little tweaking last night on the crossover, just a few part value changes, small increments. 10% reduction of the woofer inductor, and a 20% change on one of tweeter cap values. Hard to tell the difference looking at the two sweeps.

But today, I just didn't want to stop listening. They are starting to throw a really large sound. On a few tracks, before the changes, bass seemed a bit thick, but has now tightened up dramatically. The orchestral tracks I really like, are starting to have some of the Byzantium magic. The bass/mid/treble levels are really starting to dial in.

When Ryan told me today that he was thinking of going ahead and veneering them, I knew he was starting to fall in love!!!! :D

Can't wait to bring these to Chicago!!

                    Looking good Pete!

I must have missed it but what tweeter are you using in this design? RS28A/F or something else?

I couldn't get Ed to pose for this one, but he really deserved to.

Ryan's getting ready to veneer the first set. Stunning Walnut Burl. The WG baffle is off for paint.

That's Pelin Burl chief ... and look at the size of those sheets! And only 1 or 2 voids I'll have to work around, this stuff will pop like crazy when oiled up.

Beautiful weather we've been having here in Cardinal Country. Progress is being made.

One cabinet is veneered with a couple coats of clear applied.
