Even if they were hoping to catch folks with the same forum and PE login info, PE doesn't record payment details....right?? I've always had to key in my info every time I've checked out, so this seems a bit silly.

Reported the site and the info I dug up anyway for good measure.

All PE has to do is notify GoDaddy of copyright infringement, that site will come down in a day if it's not legitimate. OTOH it appears to function in real time with this site, so it may simply be a backup or something of that sort.

Frankly I don't see how it's a problem. Or why anyone at PE would take the time out of there day to even contact go daddy about it. It's not like someone changed the name/layout of the forum and just stole the threads/posts. Just a copy of the site.

I am hoping PE reports them. I don't think I have standing.

Well, until I see someone here that visited that page posting spam, I doubt it's stealing your login info, and even if it is, what can it do with it except spam?

Didn't snatch mine, so I doubt it got yours. I went back again, to make sure, and it hadn't recognized it was me. Besides, its the browser that saves the auto login information, and while it looks the same, the URL is not PE, so the browser doesn't initiate the login.

I didn't rate the thread, but, it's perfectly legit if somebody doesn't like the thread, to give it one star, no?

Anyway, interesting how when you click "Forgot Password" on that site it links you back to the PE techtalk site :P
