just thought i'd point out for anyone who might be interested that the aviatrix are on what i would consider to be a darn good sale right now (as if they weren't a good deal to start out with). $200 for the kit. thats less than the cost of the drivers alone. so basically, you're getting free crossovers, binding posts, and a 5lb bag of stuffing.

Agreed. I've had both the TriTrix and Aviatrix setups, and at this price I'd say the AviaTrix would be an excellent 1st time DIY kit, preferrable to the tritrix. Slightly more expensive and a bit more complicated crossover, but if you are comfortable building your own enclosures, it would be a great inexpensive way to get started with great sound. And since the woofer doesn't need a recess, construction is ever so slightly easier as well. -

I saw the e-mail. Dmn poor timing, I just recieved a box of parts from PE yesterday for an OS build. Another $200 to feed this addiction the wife does not understand :(still lurking...
