How about it crossing low enough to avoid any issues from being horizontal?

It is a rare tweeter that can be used in that manner.
Don't listen to me - I have not sold any $150,000 speakers.

*ROOKIE WARNING*OK I'll break the news to him.... How low would a tweet have to crossover assuming the woofs were mounted as close as possible? Could you cross the outer woofs lower with like an additional inductor in line after the crossover so that the CTC was not an issue for them?

I had something like the AV123 X-VOCE in mind......

Sorry if it's obvious, but what is "B Rubber"?

So what do the rest of us who don't have this rare tweeter do?

                Yup ( and neo-rubber like stuff ).

Since Mr Carpenter has the means to study the temporal performance: he's is a prime position to study them and find means to attenuate.
( I haven't found the specific articles on cone mods, but I do recall one in which the author put dimples in the cone, and others that involved placing very small dots of material on cones, or breakup rings/spirals. )

Just hang out in front of the center channel, and not off to the sides. It really isn't as big of a deal as some people want to make it - sometimes I think it is just an argument point for forums. "Oh noes! Your horizontal MTM is going to give poor off-axis response at 30 degrees!"

Always better to cross as low as possible, but most people have their movie watching system set up to the point where there are no seats not more or less on axis so the problems are really minimal.

That's kind of what I figured as well.

Any advice on how low I can cross the tweeter I'm using?

Last time I modeled it, I was going for a 3rd order at 2500.

                      It should do 2500.

I was about to say, because they sure look good! Can't wait to get that frequency response so I can start making a crossover. I imagine at that point, adjusting the output of the tweeter will be a simple matter of swapping tweeter padding resistors till I get the volume I want?

Hard to tell from the graph for me is that pretty close to 8?

yep, about. I should check the wiring tho because 4 drivers parallel would give about 2 ohms and 3 sets should add up to roughly 6 ohms not 8.
