Hey, guys. I just wanted to reply and let you know that I've not forgotten about this. We've got our house on the market and have been showing it a good deal lately so I've pretty much had the whole Klippel/testing rig put away in the attic for the past couple weeks. I'll be traveling again for a week soon but plan to test the Sony (and a couple others) when I return. Should have the data up in about 2 weeks' time.

Sorry for the delay. Life > me sometimes.

              I'm finally testing it...

It's on the baffle right now for LSI (xmax @ 10% distortion). After a few rounds, it's FR/HD/IMD time. Data should be up tonight though not in a fancy report format. I'm going to skimp because I've got a laundry list of drivers to test.

I'll post up a new thread with a link to diyma when it's done.

Made a false promise. Wound up helping a friend who's house was hit by a tornado yesterday move. In the process of heading to his temporary home now to unload a few cars' worth of stuff.
Should be tomorrow. Maybe some stuff tonight.

Good enough excuse for now. I hope your friend is ok, it has been horrible.

For those who have heard these, how do you think they would perform for LCR behind a false wall A.T. Screen etc?

I don't know about the open baffle and back reflections etc and how that would sound/workout.

                        Thoughts?

Friend of a friend asked me if I could land a pair of loudspeakers for a newly opened hi-end fashion retail spot. I didn't have anything ready, aside from 24's (Alice is out of the question). So, I was like, Ok, take these, use them till New Years and get me a nice bottle of scotch then you done. Guy asked me about amps for these and was really surprised at the low power requirements. All fine and good.
Two days later I get a phone call and the owner can't stop talking, how incredible the sound is. Then, he finds out that the sound is coming from Sony boombox drivers and his jaw drops. Now he wants to come to New York DIY to see what else we can do. :applause:

This is great. Good job spreading the audiophile gospel.

Very cool. Slightly off topic but what are the dates looking like for the Iron Speaker comp and DIY NY this year are they going to be close together etc... I'm wondering if I can make it to both or not. The $200.00 class should be interesting with the Antey24 and the Breakfast Stouts as well as other entries competing with each other.

Mike set it up on 9/15/2012 but as usual we need to check with everyone attending. I don't think 1 or two weeks will make a difference for as long as we can accommodate more participants. Annual NY DIY date has not been set yet and I am open for suggestions.
$200 and $200 to a $1000 should be very interesting this year. I am rolling out Linaeum dipole loudspeaker.
