Luckily, the weather is cooperating.....Can't believe I'm actually saying this in February in Chicago, but I can't lie......50 degrees today...the garage is open for business!! The rat-rocker is coming to life.....looking a bit ugly tho...;)

bumped back to the present

My family is planning to get together for birthdays around the weekend of the event. Dad will be 90. He robbed the cradle. My step-mom will only be 78. The birthdays are just a few days apart. They get more precious with each year's passing. I regret that I will be absent from InDIYana.

Wise choice Ed. My Mom passed away this past June. She was 89. I still hurt when I think that she's gone. Enjoy your time with your Dad. There'll be more DIY events.

Count me in for sure Wolf. I just made reservations at the Hyatt, so I'm good to go. I'll be flying, so I don't know if I'll bring the Fonkens. I have to see if I can get a Pelican case that will fit them. Anyone have any words of wisdom about speakers going as baggage on a commercial flight? If nothing else, I'll probably be able to bring a pair of OS's (unless someone else is brining a pair). I can fit them in a suitcase.
I'm getting to Ft Wayne about 3PM on Friday. So...what's going on Friday afternoon/evening?

I'm pumped!!!

Mike will def be there. I'm thinking he won't be buying anything this year. He just picked up an Emotiva preamp to drive his Crown amps on the MTs he bought last year. Plus he finalized the adoption on his kids in December:D

I hope 3-way's with powered lows are not frowned upon for the Rat-Rocker category.

I've only been to a couple DIY's and I think I've only seen two systems with their own amplification.

Truth is, it's cheaper for me to plate amp the low end in my Rat-Rockers. I don't have to though.

I'm stuck.
