  • Top 6.5"-7" Mid-Woofers on the Market Right Now!!!

The criteria points are very simple this time

    - Must be 6.5"-7.0" in diameter.
    - Must be a mid-woofer.
    - Must have rubber surround
    - Must have some sort of Faraday shorting mechanism.
    - Must be in current production.

(Note: I'm not sure why my previous posts have been deleted. Is there anywhere I can inquire about them? I put in a lot of time writing them. I did not break any PE rules, nor get into any arguments. I've actually been a PE customer for 15+ years. It's a little upsetting.)

What's wrong with an accordion or foam surround?

What's the point of this thread? Curious.

What qualifies these drivers as best? What data do you have? Some I agree with. Some I don't.

Because lists are extremely fun, as can be seen from the enormous following of my previous ones. Plus, if the criteria points are logical, these lists can be very useful for someone just starting this hobby, or looking to narrow down their options.

Maybe you can buy them and test them for us:p You don't know if they are any good if you don't use them or haven't heard them. Good drivers don't necessarily need faraday rings so once again your criteria is garbage.

Foam and accordion surround speakers don't have bass? Really showing how much you know.

killa - instead of making these false statements and trying to cause an argument every single time, why don't you show me proof that a similarly priced driver without a Faraday ring has lower overall distortion than the one with the shorting ring. The only garbage is your comment.

When did I say that they didn't have bass? Are you 15 years old? Run upstairs to mommy, your dinner's getting cold.

Some of the older people on this forum may not have come to spot a troll when they see one.

Go troll the car audio forums, at least there you can get kiddies talkin' about how they're gonna beat you up.

post 2 and 3. sorry you just said bass. The da175 has fairly low distortion and is an excellent driver.

Congratulations! In the past threads have been deleted for bad manners and for politics (which seems inevitably to lead to bad manners). You have created a whole new thread catagory . . . "too stupid to exist" . . . and seem to have a near unlimited store of examples. This will surely go down in "Tech Talk" history, and "well thought out list" will be a backhanded jibe for years to come . . .
