Beautiful work as usual Ron. I've got to use your method to mount my Neo3s on the shelf. Plus 2 for using 1/2 inch Baltic Birch - I'm sort of standardizing on 1/2 inch ply for now.

Actually my friend Weldon built the equipment cabinet (1 of 3) a long time ago. I told you he was good. You can see some of his work here. http://www.iowagreenhomes.com/showcasegreenhomes.asp

Somehow I missed taking pictures of the veneer going on. I covered the front baffle with the MTM holes cut out and finished them. Then I cut the woofer hole and recess and removed the veneer from the MTM holes and cut the MTM recesses.

I chose 1/2" Baltic birch because I have a bad back and the bride and groom are apartment dwellers and I wanted them to be easy to move. I also wanted them to look as small as possible. Although they are somewhat large the internal dimensions and dowel bracing keep the panels relatively small (nothing more than about 10"s unbraced). Once they were veneered and lined with foam and stuffed with poly the boxes are fairly dead even with 1/2" sides.

Purty. I'm guessing you built the cabinet that the centre channel is sitting on, cause it's purty too.

Can somebody please convince my wife that HUGE speakers are cool?
