I've been searching through the forum, and the Google, for a build I saw a year ago that had the most beautiful detail work I had seen. Even the bracing that would never be seen again looked like artwork, and the crossover was mounted to the bracing in such a way that it was all shaped together. IF anyone has a link to this I would appreciate it(I know, very good description....). Also, I would love to see other builds that put extreme love and passion into the entire build. I know there are lots of great builds on this site, but I really want to see the above and beyond builds.

I think the Origional Byzantiums are some of the most beautiful speakers I've ever seen. Anyone have some good pictures of those?

I installed some once as part of an extensive xover up grade for a customer who owned Polk SDA-SRS speakers (pic below).
Pete: what's that small blue thing with the black thing sticking out of it next to the Clarity Cap in your pictures? Is that a speakon connector the previous poster refers to?Live in Southern N.E.? check out the CT Audio Society web site.

The speakon is to attach to the wiring from the speaker on top of the stand to which these are the base/bottom. It's so they can be worked on and disconnected easily.
The brown cardboard thingy is a Duelund graphite resistor; not cheap; but nothing in there is.

And the blue connector is a Speakon 4 pole connector. IMO, they're superior to your standard 5 way binding post in most ways."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster.
