    Was the speaker on a slab or floating floor? Any chance the spikes weren't level? Was your fingernail calibrated beforehand? :D

      That's always been the Sonus Faber way: expensive drivers, excellently styled but poorly designed cabinets, and inept crossover design.

      But onto the thread topic, one build that I've long thought was a standard-setter is Markus's M.'s: white-painted Gedlee Nathans perched atop repurposed Bose 901 faux-Saarinen tulip stands.

                            Hmm? I felt that the SF Aida had pretty good internal construction.

                              He may have been refering to the outside of the cabinets. They are probably one of the best looking speakers I've ever seen, but I can't even begin to imagine the unwanted reflections caused by all those oddly placed curves, ripples, chamfers, and fins.
