Labor day 2010 camping w/ my wife and 4 kids. My 2 boys and I on the dunes. I haven't changed much since then!

I suppose I could put a bit about myself as well...

I love God, my wife, my kids, skateboarding, cars, and stereos. I've been a stereo freak since I was old enough to poke dust caps. I purchased a new Yamaha ht reciever and had a question about something on it about 3 years ago so I joined the AH forum. That eventually led me to the DIY section and it's been a money and time pit ever since, but oooh how I love it!!

As forums go, I'm also a member on a couple other DIY speaker forums and a contractor forum. Was a custom cabinet maker/remodeler for years till the bottom fell out of the market here a few years ago. Now I manage a plastic recycling plant.

      I am Ryan O'Leary.
The name ROTECH came from the mobile welding service that I had for a few years (you can guess how rotech is formed) until my 9-5 or shall I say 8pm-6am took over.
I am 30, have been on PETT for about a year now. I build speakers because I have always liked entertaining people, and this my my outlet for such.

Been building speakers for 30 years, seriously for maybe 10. I've designed and built amplifiers for audio and ultrasonic use, as well as servo control. Audio is a passion ignited in me by my mom many years ago.

This is me at CKY-DIY 2010 informing the bunch about my 'Attitudes' project, where they took best of show for the day.

I joined the former Madisound board back in ~1998, soaking and sponging knowledge just like lots of the new people here. I joined the PE board about a year later and remain mainly here since the orig Mad Board's demise. I will occasionally post over at diyaudio.com, and have maybe 2-3 posts at Audiocircle and htguide each. I will likely post at Meniscus' forum upon launch, but this is my main forum home. Speakchat can also be a lot of fun!

Been here awhile, and I guess I have about 15 years in this hobby now.
Time sure flies when you're having fun!

Whoops- maybe a little more MDF dust is required so I look normal here... (I was keeping warm cutting wood in about 25 degree weather.)

Figured I would show a non-speaker related photo. I am the ugly guy on the right, the lovely lady on the left is my wife Amanda, and the guy in the middle is an Irish karate instructor who visited my club about three years ago - shortly before I got out of that game.

I started playing with speakers in 1990 or '91, using random drivers - car audio stuff, Radio Shack stuff. Played off an on for about six or seven years, got busy with life for awhile, and started getting back into it again about 2003, and really started getting busy around 2009 or so.
Don't listen to me - I have not sold any $150,000 speakers.

I serve the needs of music lovers who don't have DIY skills. I do marvel at those here who build prolificially. I'm driven more by different ideas and the need to tinker & experiment with the hobby.

I have 4 grandchildren. Haven't built much, other than the Intimates posted in a thread here a while back and oh, the Poor Plumber's Plutos created 2 yrs ago. Pics of them can be found in the gallery forum here at TT.

My name is Ryan Nutter, and I live in Lebanon, Missouri. Started getting into building speakers a few years back when I got tired of my HTIB, and decided to research building my own. Then I realized that I loved building them just to be building them.

Anyway, I'm the guy on the right. That's my best friend Tanner, who is more like a brother to me, on the left right before he graduated MP training. I'm 31 years young, but half the top of my head would beg to differ...

Tod from Midletown, RI. I've been involved with audio since the age of 12 (some 33-ish years ago). From high school dances to working on stage with some familiar names (no name dropping here) to building command centers that rival NASA launch control (we actually did build a room for NASA - not one that you might ever see though!), I have come full circle. I am now starting on a journey that is beginning with diy.

Pic is from dlr's New England diy gathering last Fall.
screen name is from a car I once owned that had a known issue resulting in crankshaft failure and has been my screen name on all forums I have joined since '97 or so.
