Did she get a new Audi S8 if so I'm very jealous?
Bang & Olufsen have been around a long time and make several Omni speakers and slender wall mounted systems.

But I have heard a few of their system's in the Audi's and they have all sounded pretty decent. Most people will be satisfied with the sound.
    Thanks ,

      Audi Q7? :D

Bang&Olufsen have been around since the late 70s, I believe, and from normal iPodians, they sound "OMGWTFBBQSAUCE" amazing, and from audiophiles, "Meh" for the price... which ranges from 1K for the laptop speakers, $3-4 for most of their speakers, and $15k for their Beolab5 (??) Omnis, which include 2500W of Icepower.

Peter Aczel thinks the Beolabs sound as good as Linkwitz Orions.

Just the Q5. I figured for the money the system was over rated i'd just not heard of it. They bost a 505 watt amp with 14 speakers. They are looking for the colors we want so I haven't got a chance to really check it out. One option I thought was cool it has an I pod connection in the glove box that has on dash screen to operate it. Plus an air conditioned glove box so it doesn't get hot. not sure how much that's needed.

B&O have been around since 1925 and have contributed with several innovative designs through the years, most recently the IcePower class D amps.
They also make car audio systems for BMW and Aston Martin among others.

Their top model home speaker, BeoLab 5.

I don't know who Peter Aczel is, but I would agree with that assessment. One of the finest speakers I've heard.

Peter Aczel is the editor of the Audio Critic. I don't think the magazine is in print anymore, but there's a "webzine" of sorts.

I saw a pair once, they are gorgeous. And with 2 B&O stores in Vegas, you think I'd have made my way to one, but never did.

Yea, B&O stuff always had some of the cleanest, sort of minimalist styling. I really dug their turntables, but could never afford one. NICE stuff!

An upscale mall around here has a BO store. I've listened to the Beolabs over there in less thanideal conditions. The speakers are jaw dropping good, easily the best Ive yet listened to. For the price, they should be.

Sorry to hijack the thread Dave. B&O have always been held in high regard as far as I know. Brother-in-law had a B&O turntable that ranked up there with the best. I'd love to hear a car audio system from them. I'm willing to bet it'll beat Bose and Infinity car audio.
