For a cast frame at that price point there are no US sources. Eminence does not make a cast frame with that configuration.

From the browsing I've done, it looks like 1/50 funded design or technology projects actually ship products within a year of when they say they will, and half of those are failures.

Unless it's a very simple design with a small amount of buyers, the project originator usually realizes he's in over his head.

They will be at RMAF, so somebody can go out there and end the endless speculation.

Not what he claims, that's for sure. One can't say if the misinformation/disinformation on his site is the result of intentional advertising hype or a lack of engineering knowledge but neither explanation gives me a warm and fuzzy.
Two dollars to a donut says it is Eminence
You're out a donut, it's not Eminence. Nor is it American made; the finished speaker is, not the driver.

If he had the driver built with a high Q, it probably does ok on the bass. If the whizzer cone is even halfway competently designed, the high end will almost certainly be no worse than any other whizzer cone FR out there, regardless of price. They may, or may not have a lot of design work, or zero design work - but for $400/pr they are bringing a lot to the table, not the least of which is a pair of speakers that will spark conversation.

I think it's awesome he jumped all the boxes and went for dipole straight away. High end to the people! :applause:

But seriously it would be fantastic if he could get this to gather ground in these ht-times. I remember back in the seventies and eighties there were a dedicated "stereo" with big speakers in almost every home, at least here in Scandinavia. The average soundquality was for sure better back in the days compared to today with all the "microsystems" floating around...

I wonder why the driver is not flush mounted. Does it have less of a negative impact with that type of driver?

Might be the cone, but theirs has a cast aluminum frame, not stamped steel.
