Need a Replacment Subwoofer

I was just given a Audio Source home theater powerd subwoofer. It is a 12 inch version and the sub is a daul voice coil sub.

Dayton's 12"DVC (non-shielded) should work in a CLOSED 1.3 cf box. Close up your ports and stuff the box with polyfill and it'll be equivalent to 1.3 cf.

If your volume and port assessments are correct (and your "ports" have no depth, meaning they're just the baffle thickness deep - 3/4"?) then that box is tuned to about 140 Hz. Too small a box (for most any 12" driver) and too high a tuning for anything that I'd consider a sub.

If you meant that it has 2 ports that are 3" in dia. and 5" long, THEN it is tuned to 69 Hz; again, not what I'd consider a sub.
